A simple piece of synth pop by producer mesostic with stepped pads, bass, melody and four on the floor beats. Made on Ableton Live with freeware softsynths and included Ableton instruments and shared copyright free for any use from educational to commercial. The stems have also been shared. Track 1 uses the free MiniSpillage drum softsynth. Track 2 uses the free OB-Xd softsynth for the pads. Track 3 uses Ableton's Analog softsynth for the bass line. Track 4 uses u-he's free Tyrell N-6 softsynth for the lead melody.

This is a recording i made for one of my songs. I found it nice to run the group's output through the ohmforce ohmicide and have some fun with the separate bands. The original loop consists of me, drumming on my metal kitchen-sink with drum-brushes. The snary accents are the brushes on the back of my acoustic guitar. All recorded with a neumann u87 and mangled through a ua solo610 with tube-gain cranked up. The bassdrumsound is also an handplayed sound from my nord lead. All recorded in 48/16.

Dont ask why this is named like that lol, made using a lot of layers but the fundamental of the snare is synthesized, distorted the first miliseconds of the sample to make an snappy transient and make it cut throught the mix. For the process i used analog modelled plugins such as exciters, tube saturators, preamps, coloring eqs, and compressors alongside with some digital modelled plugins such as camelcrusher, transient shaper and sliceeq both by kilohearts, the compressor mjucjr ny klanghelm to amplify the waveform of the sample and finally a clipshifter plugin, which i love it, to limit the snare aggresively.

Forest drum sound similar to the old donkey kong style sounds with some atmospheric sound that carries on after using a cement mixer and some rain. If some aspects of this sound are not to your liking there's a couple variations on my page.

A reversed piano beat loop i quickly made in audacity,. Uses a modified fl studio piano melody sample taken from the open-project 'exoplanet' by eric kauffmann,. Edited and processed in audacity. 112 bpm.

Hard house style loop programmed in ableton. Straight 4 on the floor with a big kick and a top end break run through an auto filter and beat repeat for a glitchy random sound. 4 bars at 133 bpm.

Used a mini mod filter and tuned it up slowly so you can cut out the wanted pitch, switch daw to 120bpm to cut it preciselyenjoy.

A quick multisample snare hit i did with pro tools 10. I didn't add any reverb so y'all could choose one that fits your project, but it's full and punchy. Sum to mono if you don't like the subtle panning i added. Enjoy!.

A series of nondescript samples recorded in a fashion inspired by error. They are made so that even if they are arranged in a rhymthmicaly correct order, they still sound horrible. The samples come from unearthed past tracks.

Here is a morphagene reel made out of a free yocto sample pack, originaly released on my label concrete collage. It is a "round robin" sample pack, meaning there is a few hits of every instruments (kickdrum, snare, etc) to make it feel a little bit more "alive" than usual drum mahcine samples. For this jazzyloop i used. Drumbot. Compiano chordsrandom progressionminor, 4 chords, 80 bpm, oo_odm, cm, c#6, f#9had to record straight to audacity. No export function. Drumbotcountry & folksmothness made a 4 bar drum sequence and exported as wav. This site (drumbot. Com) had no "bass function". . . Quick search led me to onlinesequencer. Nethere i made a bass line to the chords in 80bpm. Here you can only export to mid. . . Once again i had to record straight to audacity. Result this loop. No processing in audacity.

I created this 64 bar loop in bitwig using a sample loop that comes free with the software, next i used a multiband fx plugin with automation controlling amounts and cutoff's which then in turn had various effects on the seperate bands and as you can clearly hear i used the glitch2 vst mostly on the mid frequencies, which in turn had automation controlling/changing it's presets.

Files labeled "ms" correspond to mid/side recordings. This allows for adjustment and separation of the stereo image. To makes the most of these samples, i suggest you do, or the stereoness could sound exaggerated. Most daws and audio editors have this capability, or you can use any of several free applications, such as voxengo's msed (set to "inline" mode). The pack variations correspond to different recording techniques and microphone combinations.

Recording of live kick drum that was gently hand-tapped with a plastic club. Recording was then reversed and processed through compressor, eq, flanger, gentle distortion and slight reverbation, to produce something almost but not quite entirely unlike an approximation of the beating of a human heart.

This is a beat i made using the percussion presets form fab filter 1 cm synth for a track i was writing. Each hit was then loaded into abletons impulse drum sampler and tweaked for my pleasure. The snare was subject to some serious stretching,which gives it a rasping sound!fab filter 1 really is a simple but very useful synth.

This is a bass kick i made with a nice crunchy toned delay. It started life as a mono bass kick off my 808 drum machine, i converted it to stereo then inverted the right channel, i distorted it and processed it with 100% envelope to really boost the front end punch. It's c2 pitch for convenience.

I've put this sound as public domain (cc0) so i (and you) don't have to fiddle with figuring out the minutiae of various cc licenses. Trash drumming at sark roots permaculture festival 2016. Recording of a set of interesting recycled objects mounted on scaffolding in the middle of the festival site. Recorded whilst festival was in full swing around the wildly improvising (mostly) amateur drummers on saturday night. Recorded with a tascam dr-40 portable recorder. Processing: eq, c6 multi-band compression and l3 multi-band limiting.

Made from a tom drum i created with xfer serum in reaper. Rendered the instrument as audio, then, sampled a small section of the tom and looped it infinitely to create a static frequency. Then i added the reapitch vst and created a smooth automation curve down to -24 semitones. Lastly, i added a short fade in and long fade out.
